The Surrealist movement has been a fractious one since its inception. The value and role of the various techniques has been one of many subjects of disagreement. Some Surrealists consider automatism and surrealist games to be sources of inspiration only, while others consider them as starting points for finished works. Others consider the items created through automatism to be finished works themselves, needing no further refinement.

Hi Peepz,
this is for sure my last mix for year 2007… and I wih to finish this year with a special showcase to one artist very active in the netlabel scene,
D. Soul ( myspace link ) ( discogs.com page ),
(Daniel Tischer), born 1977 in Wiesbaden, Germany, now living in Frankfurt, started to make his experiments with electronic music in 1996. Inspired by Frankfurts famous Techno Club “Omen”, the sound of this time and its DJs he presented his first attempts as a DJ at some private parties in his surroundings. In 2004 he organised houseparties with friends in a club called Metro, where he also spins the records around. To implement his activities in music he also began to produce at this time. In 2005 he founded the netlabel tropic.
As a musical principle, d.soul always try to produce and mix a kind of minimal, coloured and vivid music, that gets a very own special taste.
After this little presentation of this artist, here we are a mix that try to give you a journey to D.SOUL music… and soul !!!
Please peepz enjoy and have a happy new year…
cu next year, with some specials good news…

Seeks to target P2P services considered to be “predominantly infringing” and sites like The Pirate Bay that “refuse to cooperate with (copy)right holders.”
Copyright holders and lobbying organizations seem to be ceaseless these days in their efforts to get ISPs on board in their quest for total global content domination.
They have been particularly busy in the UK and France with calls for outright banishment from the internet of repeated copyright infringing individuals.
Now comes word that the IFPI, the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry, is outlining a specific strategy to be undertaken by ISPs and it isn’t pretty.
It claims that ISPs are not “sufficiently forthcoming in Europe,” and that they could do more to address piracy on their networks, with music in particular. Of odd concern is that it wants ISPs to help it handle “…websites located in…rogue jurisdictions where no effective enforcement mechanisms are available.” In other words, the IFPI wants ISPs to begin blocking sites like The Pirate Bay.
In short, the IFPI lays out what it calls “…three technical options available to ISPs to control infringing traffic.” [more..]

Jean Michel Jarre is a pioneer of one of the fastest growing music trends today & electronic music. His début album, OXYGÈNE, upon its release 30 years ago, took the world by surprise not only by its avant-garde musical genre, but also by its audacious album cover art-work (planet earth peeling away to reveal a human skull) True to his spirit of creating an event out of all endeavours, Jarre decided to unearth his collection of vintage synthesisers and perform his original masterpiece for a new recording. Having realised the collection of mythical instruments he had horded over the years and forgotten for some, in the depths of his garage, he decided to film his live performance of OXYGENE in HD and in stereoscopic 3D with optional 5.1 surround sound and Dolby digital. “OXYGENE – Live in your living room” is what Jean Michel Jarre has created to celebrate the 30th anniversary of his super-hit album: the stereoscopic 3D video and surround sound give the unique impression of being right there next to Jean Michel and his instruments while seated on your living room couch. Jean Michel is accompanied by three musicians for this live performance, as the 8 track original masterpiece requires eight hands for a live performance…
MERRY CHRISTMAS! Enjoy the happy day n night and have a good time with your family.

The third digital single from N.Division Media features a pair of older tunes written by Andy Yakovlev alongside Liron Atia, his original partner in the Sound Field project.
Web Zero and Inside The Pattern dwell within the loose confines of progressive psytrance; both songs blend funky synthetic rhythms and light tribal drumming with casual melodic flourishes.
The approach is upbeat, confident, and well-suited for the morning hours. Be sure to check the Afro-Dust EP if you enjoy this one!

“What’s that noise?”
“I don’t think it’s anything to worry about.”
“Do you hear that?”
“Somebody’s turkey is on fire.”
“Maybe it’s a drug bust?”
Mind-blowing conversations like this are just waiting for you to be explored in the brand-new 4-part audio concept ”Conspiracy Test Runs On Public Broadband Computers” which is nothing less than a stunning 75 minutes major American aural metaphor, fully loaded with oddities and truths, carefully collected, selected, sampled and presented in an enjoyable radio play / mix format.
This new audio episode features Terre Thaemlitz and his amazing ‘Laurence Rassel Show’ - a post-feminist radio drama assassinated before broadcast, some brilliant Negativland all-time favourites and certainly tons of other audio relicts to proof that some things are definitely not on track.
The noise comes alongside with reworked tunes from past own releases - except for Part 4 - which is a processed and “timefreezed” version of the beautiful original ‘Untitled’ by Andrew Thomas.

Today we proudly present our newest release from Nutownproject - the Data Swap Ep including Xentrix Remixes! We probably dont have to tell you much about these awesome artists from Belgium.
Nutownproject has been showing his talent on various releases such as on Einmaleins or Resopal. Xentrix is known for his own label Kroma and played on various events as DJ such as I Love Techno. So in our opinion, their work basicially speaks for themselves!
The ep starts off with an rocking techno track, followed by two great remixes made by Xentrix. All of these tracks are built for the dancefloor and might turn techno heads into screaming dancing machines. If you love techno, thisone is for you!

One of a kind is indeed the expression, which best describes the electronic music auteur Esa Ruoho, regardless whether we are talking about the organic quality of his music under the artist name Lackluster or just the artist himself in his private life. Esa Ruoho is truly an original; a homegrown and uncompromising composer and an eccentric explorer of science and nature, whose artistic career might seem at first glimpse to be just a sum of happy accidents.
Continuing our Christmas Release Week, a guest appearance by Lackluster. He appeared with a live set at the largest meeting in Scandinavia this past August, Assembly 2007. High quality recording throughout, featuring exclusive tracks from his commercial releases which you can find scattered throughout the internet on various distribution sites as well as a couple of previously unreleased specials. Playing time just under 74 minutes, the playlist follows with links direct to iTunes for specific albums. Christmas releases continue tomorrow….

Basel. Am Welt Psychedelik Forum, das an Ostern 2008 vom 21. – 24. ![]()

| We’re delighted to welcome back multiple Monotonik releaser Planet Boelex, who’s provided us with an awesome 60+ minute live set, featuring all self-composed Boelex material (much of it new!) recorded at the recent Virus Festival in Lithuania.Boelex, whose tracks have also appeared on Kahvi and Ogredung in recent years, has a beautifully layered pure idm sound, and the mix showcases the downtempo, chilled nature of his sound briefly, starting out with ‘Forever And Always’ and moving on through several untitled tracks. All in all, it’s a wonderful, cleverly mixed set of all Boelex, all the time - and it’s particularly notable because the entire hour-plus is completed without Mr. Boelex ever raising his voice, but it’s authoritarian nonetheless. He who composes quietly carries a big impact stick, we’re guessing? Bravo.(Track order is as follows - ‘Forever and always’, ‘Untitled’, ‘Shower Curtain’, ‘Seagull Scene’, ‘Untitled’, ‘Suunta’, ‘Blinded Of You’, ‘Sim Ten’, ‘Direction Backwards’, ‘100kn’.) |

Larry Lessig gets TEDsters to their feet, whooping and whistling, following this elegant presentation of three stories and an argument. The Net’s most adored lawyer brings together John Philip Sousa, celestial copyrights, and the “ASCAP cartel” to build a case for creative freedom. He pins down the key shortcomings of our dusty, pre-digital intellectual property laws, and reveals how bad laws beget bad code. Then, in an homage to cutting-edge artistry, he throws in some of the most hilarious remixes you’ve ever seen.
Stanford professor Larry Lessig is one of our foremost authorities on copyright issues. In a time when “content” is not confined to a film canister, Lessig has a vision for reconciling creative freedom with marketplace competition. Read full bio »

“To appreciate this music style you must slow down your mind, close your eyes, kick ack, put your feet up and prepare to travel, try not to have expectations or judge the song along the way, in fact try to avoid any opinion of it until you have heard it a few times, a new mode of listening is required because the sounds and tones are the focus, each song is like a micro movie soundtrack and a story is being told, so there is a beginning middle and end, and some where along the line a climax, headphones are recommended, when listening with speakers a sub woofer does wonders”

Already a home artist of Knobs netlabel, Mookid brandishes a fresh and tasty album “Bubble”. Long player lasting more than an hour will smooth your ears like a velvet. “I’m very fond of this release actually”- Mookid says, “This is the best what i have ever done in music”. A trademark of Mookid is a cristal sound quality and it reflects again with “Bubble”. All tracks contain lot of basslines, strings, pads, massive synth lines with simple and effective percussion. Relatively slow BPM of 127 to 130 leaves the album on the border between techno and tech-house, but the most accurate description of it could be a deep techno.

Endlos “Das musste ja so kommen EP”
Release date: December 10th, 2006
Since our start off, we have been looking for music that combines electronic with hand-made stuff. With Endlos, we finally found the perfect piece of the puzzle - just another amazing story of soul brothership written in our wonderful home city of Lipsia (Leipzig). This first Endlos EP is an excerpt of their 2004 album which was published as a very limited CD edition only. However, we think these songs are timeless: Enjoy seven epic pieces of deep electronica, fusing jazz with samplers, lo-fi drummachines embracing manipulated guitars and warm synths.

Endlos “Kein Grund zufrieden zu sein (Live EP)”
Release date: September 6th, 2007
After their first release on 1bit earned so many praises, we are happy to see another EP by Endlos on our netlabel. This time, Mario and Daniel have put together exclusive live versions of five tracks from their last CD “Kein Grund zufrieden zu sein”: Slowly flowing epics, melancholic dialogues of machines and guitars. Live support comes from Johannes Russ (bass & guitar) and Martin (sax).

Pena is a musical lover. Open-minded but demanding, mixes intense and hypnotic sound atmospheres with invigorating and pumping beat explorations, taking elements across the spectrum of electronic dance music, from progressive trance to house, electro to minimal, filtering them through an eclectic spiral emotion..
In 1996 the Psychedelic scene was just starting in Portugal when Pena decided to change the laws for decks. Instead of following a lawyers career he devoted himself, totally and exclusively, to music.
He started as a DJ, but soon after, in 2000, founded Flow Records. This platform allowed him to invest on his own musical line, deep, steadfast and profound stories with surprisingly voluptuous and stimulating melodies. The label gave him a chance to interpret, even further, his groovy road of thinking and allowed him to travel continually all over the globe.
From 2000 to 2004 all his dedication was distinguished by four prizes as Best Trance DJ at annual Dance Club Awards, organized by Dance Club Magazine, the only and respectful Portuguese Electronic Music Magazine.
In 2006, has created Flow Vinyl for a housier approach, setting pace on what he plays nowadays, having his releases been supported by the top jocks.
Apart from that, he continues his strive for top class open minded parties in his motherland, leading to the start of the renowned Flow parties, blending progressive house, progressive trance and even minimal techno, inviting talents to Portugal like Beckers, Extrawelt, Mashtronic, Motion, Antix to name a few
What more to say of this influential and foremost pillar of worlds electronic music stage?! One thing we are sure, he will always keep the vibe flowing with punchy distinctiveness!. [aerogroove]

the new album of christoph schindling could be described as a production of minimal techno which is surrounded by warm and atmospheric sounds – combined with a clear 4/4 beat which gives a lot of space to dubs and delays. altogether seven harmonical tracks create a feeling of warmness and bright. so it´s the right time to come out in this season…

Daniel Marinov is welding minimal and micro tracks together to build a heavy monster truck out of it, driving down a long party highway with exuberant energy. The engine is humming, the gears are clicking, the exhaust is burning and no one can stop this hell machine.
Daniel Marinov is a guy from Sofia, Bulgaria. He was born in 1990. Under the influence of electronic music and parties he started DJing which made him become obsessed with music. In the summer of 2006 Daniel and his ex-schoolmate Nikolay Dimo (aka Nokx) founded “Minds in Motion”, an underground organization based in Sofia, dedicated to present their vision of electronic music. Daniel was impressed by the freshness of the netlabel scene and its artists. After concentrating more and more on this scene Daniel and his partner Stoyan Simov (aka GFDFD) founded their own netlabel “Dope Nature”.
