In this showcase ten italian dub producers made one tune each, plus related dub version
This project shall be published and promoted by Aquietbump (www.aquietbump.com), a (net)label based in Irpinia.
From the beginnin the Italian dub community operated under cooperation sign and style, with the aim of free culture spreading.  FANTASTIC! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED 4 DUB FANS! [dg]

Impset (aka Christophe Cabanie) was the creative force behind “Tinram LR” an ambient IDM release on Jon7.net Microlabel in 2007. He returned later with this set of 4 tracks that continue the sonic themes explored in that album. The feel is still ambient, but much darker and moodier than “Tinram LR”, but still maintain the dubbed-and-delayed qualities that have made his tracks so enjoyable to listen to.

The opening track, “Profonde Lumieres” provides a feeling that is relaxing yet punctuated by a mystery, like a ship moving slowly through dense fog. “Noires Ombres” lives up to its name, full of black shadows of sound, bridging a gap between dark and light ambient. “Hypno 06″ provides the rhythmic sensibility that characterized much of “Tinram LR” and rolls in like deep gray storm clouds. In the closing track, “Mutine” the light is like that of stars in the dark night, with a warmth like that of the comfort of knowing the ground is beneath you, but with a coldness like looking up into the night sky and realizing that gravity holds you onto the face of the earth, and by its grace you are kept from being flung into that same dark night.

The French are well-known for their contributions to Impressionism. This release may be considered a continuation of that historical trend, or it may simply be taken at face value as more fine ambient work from one of our valued sound art family members. Enjoy, and feel free to comment!

It’s 2008, and the brainchild of Jon7.net Microlabel head honcho Jon 7 has come to life in the form of a new netlabel, Timetheory Recordings.

This introductory compilation showcases artists and tracks that will come to define the Timetheory sound and aesthetic. Artists who had come to be a major part of the Jon7.net sound art family comprise much of the current roster, and along the way new artists have been discovered and have chosen to be part of the Timetheory posse.

The sound of Timetheory, as it develops, will strive to be an eclectic mixture of all things that have worked and sounded good in the past, having proved their mettle on Jon7.net Microlabel, and with the aim to continue to push the envelope sonically in as many ways possible.

In this compilation, a variety of sounds are displayed. Our appreciation of dark ambient sounds is revealed by tracks from Turmoil, Rose Red and Mystified. Our love of quirky melodic IDM is ably handled by fine tracks from Bath, Yoursck and
Subduxtion. The minimal house end is well managed by Impset and ∞ (infinity symbol), Jon 7 supplies a track of brain-damaged beat, and Rezkar, the stand-out star artist of the Jon7.net Microlabel, provides a closing track of playful melodic house, the style that has propelled him from closet musician to rising netlabel and vinyl wunderkind.

It has been a arduous labor of love to bring this netlabel to life, but now that it has become reality,we hope that you as listeners will come to enjoy and appreciate our sound, and that the daring and bold artists amongst the listening audience will join us in the goal of charting the new frontiers of music and sound.

Hi peoples, this time I wish to show you another big of electronic music, well know with the name of Pheek.

Jean-Patrice Remillard ( JP ) became interested in acid house in the late ’80s and raves in early ’90s, inspiring him to DJ his own radio shows in Sherbrooke, Québec. From his college years to university, he played techno, house and anything exciting to people whose ears weren’t as close to the ground.

Upon moving to Montreal in 1997 to study computer science, JP met Mateo Murphy and found they shared similar musical interests. After performing a show with Gez Varley, Mateo and JP decided to work on a live concept of their own, based on improvising beats on the fly and mixing in other synthesized sonic textures.

It was at this point that JP adopted the name of Pheek after a Richie Hawtin/Plastikman performance at Medialounge, a show that would forever change his perspective on music.

After further honing their live show together, Pheek and Mateo opened for Chain Reaction at the FCMM in 1999. They were spotted by Hautec and offered to release a 12″, marking a turning point in their fledgling careers.

The few years that followed saw proposed releases on Hybrid Structure and collaborations with Mitchell Akiyama on various projects – a creative period that proved a catalyst for JP’s later success.

The next pivotal point in Pheek’s career was meeting Éloi Brunelle and subsequently being invited to join to the Epsilonlab media collective. JP played with them since the very first night of their existence and for almost every show to follow. His first release for Epsilonlab, 2002’s Paysages Matriciels, was a critical success and was nominated for Quebec’s prestigious ADISQ music awards.

Another milestone was the label Minus who noticed Pheek’s demo and Richie Hawtin who started playing his music along with Magda. That kind of feedback from major DJ made him move forward in his production. Then he got in contact with labels such as Contexterrior and Telegraph with who he released some material.

Known from such netlabels as the Italian tonimusic, Patrick has now come up with four minimally minded, straight to the floor tracks and shows us what his recent sound has been up to. Forming the base of his tracks are rhythmically complex chopped beats along with a variety of diverse influences, from the dry, subtle sprinkles of acid in “Fando y Lis” to the captivating reverb’ed minmal hooks in “Alchemical Growth” or “Desejos”, the last track that finishes us up with a soporiphic melody for the early hours.

We begin with Hikhup, a highly textured and layered composition that combines warm tech house elements with a deep analog bass and interspersed glitchy-ness to satisfy the schizo in all of us.  Next is the most melodic of the three. tells it’s story of love and betrayal through choppy femme vocals, rich and ominous pads and swirling sound effects.  Last is After Kagne I’m Kompletly Paranoiak, with it’s carefully crafted soundscapes and acidic bassline; D-Click flexes his diversity muscles combining the bouncy with the dark and the sparse with the lush that perfectly rounds up an EP chock full rhythm and sensuality.
