From Budapest comes this Beat a Carpet!, by Hungarian Daniel Pataki aka Pakt, his first appearance in Flumo eds. Pakt started his career as musician in 1998 with a radio show which meant his entrance in the electronic music circles in Hungary. In his stylish evolution Daniel has gone through different stages of the club electro as techno, breakbeat or house.

In this 4 tracks E.p we find a revelatory exhibition of his ways with minimal. His compositions practically lack of melodic lines, the emphasis lying on in rhythm bases sometimes house pulsed, sometimes technoid. The samples completing his productions appear marking in its contrasts a special groove which creates a hypnotic atmosphere that suits perfectly the dancefloor. In this number we also find a version of one of his tracks by V.Rotz. This Dj shows his personal imprint while creating a cool remix, resulting from simple original elements.

Also one of the tracks has been remixed by V.Rotz who shows us all his personality one more time that, results in an excited new version taking all the simple elements of the original to produce this vibrant remixed. To complete all the session we would like to welcome to Mapinz who in an excellent manner has taken all the eastern influences to create a robotic atmosphere that is a delight.

Madison, Wisconsin based composer and Cycling ‘74 researcher Gregory Taylor composed the two pieces on offer here by applying spectral averaging and a structure inspired by systems music to source material taken from a recording of the gamelan piece Danaraja. All talk of the process (as documented in Taylor’s extensive liner notes) aside, the end result is two pieces of exquisite beauty: the first a flowing miasma of bell-derived drones which resonate peacefully even as they twist and turn, and the second a bouncing series of reverb-drenched tintinnabulation.

Dark Funky Progressive Electro Tech House

Flights Of Infinity is the second album from Jikkenteki (Rennis Buchner), the driving force behind PAR-2 Productions. Following up on the surprise success of Jikkenteki’s ambitious debut album The Long Walk Home (2005), Flights Of Infinity invites the listener to embark on an epic journey deep into the heart of psychedelic trance. The sound is unique, fusing old school influences with futuristic experimentation. Through the use of unusually long track lengths and alternative time signatures, Jikkenteki bends the rules, overturns convention, and pushes the envelope. Far from being gimmicky, this album exhibits a back-to-basics mentality that balances style with genuine substance. As such, Flights Of Infinity succeeds in providing a musical experience that is “far beyond the norm.”

Nacido en 1987, su nombre real Guido Hernan Salvatore. Comenzo con el sonido electronico a los 16 años. a sus 18 años comenzo a mezclar en su casa con compacteras + un mixer, hasta que despues se vio interesado en producir musica electronica con softs, comenzo usando el Reason 3.0 donde saco varias producciones comenzando con un sonido progressive house bien dark. Luego fue experimentando demasiado hasta encontrar su sonido, dejo de hacer progressive y arranco a utilizar varios estilos y subsestilos dentro de sus temas hasta llegar a hoy dia a producir Minimal Techno. Sus producciones ya fueron utilizadas por varios djs tanto del exterior como del interior de su pais. Hoy ya en dia maneja mas soft como el ableton o SoundForge para su edicion. Su recorrido por las pistas comenzo en bares y clubs pequeños, tocado en lugares como CLUB ZONE, BAREHIN, WHITE ROOM y el CODO. Luego fue contratado para tocar en el exterior en mendoza donde alli toco en los clubs MALABO, GEO y OMERO. Siempre ha trabajo en las pistas con “Du Sant” un dj y productor con el que compartido cabina desde haciedole warm o b2b. Hoy en dia continuan sus fechas en clubs o radios y continuan en la busquedad de sacar un sonido perfectamente unico en sus producciones.
