Hi there.
I’m Pete, I produce a daily electronic music web radio show/podcast
called bleepshow. It’s really, really great. You should check it out.
Each show is released free of charge, and has a website page with a
show player - so a download is not required. If you have iTunes, this
is the easiest way to automatically download past, present and future
shows directly to your computer. When you download a show, you can add
it to your iPod, Zune, or other mp3 player - if you do not have an mp3
player, you can play the file in Media Player, Quicktime, xmms, or any
other software player. There is no DRM on the file - you are free to
copy the file and distribute to your friends.
This week, I have switched the file to a lower bitrate, making the
filesize smaller - a show is now recorded at 128kbps, before it was
recorded at 192kbps. All shows from #136 will be recorded at 128kbps,
until further notice.

We have been itching to get this release out for some time now, and it is my pleasure to announce that the day has finally arrived. Serein is again welcoming a new friend to the family in the form of Daniel Maze, a name some may be familiar with due to several noteable releases on labels such as 12Rec and Monocromatica.
This release originally came to me in the form of a six track EP, which I was more than eager to release; Daniel however was not content and some weeks later he presented me with a full length album, including several new pieces. The time and attention Maze gives to his compositions can only be commended - and what of the music?
Red After Image is a delightfully strange album. From the offset it seems as though Daniel Maze has made it his duty to challenge any preconceptions we may have; be those preconceptions about electronic music in the broader scope, or merely what we’ve come to expect from net labels. Daniel has created something that is at once recognisable whilst also sounding remarkably fresh. There are surprises abound in this release that are sure to win the hearts of many listeners.
It is a rare gift to be able to produce such a gem as this, with its otherworldly melodies so intricately woven and the obvious care and attention Daniel bestows upon his craft - Red After Image will surely remain in our memories for a long time to come.

Can this still be considered minimal? Pablo Akaros’ drums are continuing to march forward as relentlessly as a bodybuilder pumping 300 pound irons, but his bass grooves are more flexible and rubbery than ever. “Reusado” sounds like a microwave transmitter dancing with a steamtrain, “Vertebral” sails ghost ship-like through seas of digital madness and “Mclass” is house trying to be techno trying to be dub trying to be ambient trying to be acid – and ending up as all in one. Climb that saddle for the helter-skelter horse ride of your life!
