The Budabeats netlabel brings you some real fresh stuff from one of the definitive bands of the Hungarian electronic underground scene.
The Ez a divat guys put together a really nice hybrid of jazz funk and pop, titled ‘Nofun Nofun’, which is a nice radio-friendly song from their forthcoming second LP. These people came out with no shit this time either, you’ll find some smoothly rolling heavy fender + bass + drum bottom to the wonderful female vocals. Reeeally nice, indeed.
There are two Budabeats artists contributing with their remixes. The Dutch Crookram’s beautiful version sounds like a lost Nancy Sinatra hit, with strings and acoustic guitar, drenched in hip-hop beats. It is simply breathtaking. While you’ll also find a dark dubby version from Tom Caruana. New Castle’s Mr. Bird put together a nice uptempo salad-remix for your pleasure. Here is his recipe: take some fresh and crunchy beats, season with soft guitar riffs and sprinkle it with original ideas.
Good appetite!
