Argali Records is proud to present “The Piano Concerto”, a long-form avant-garde piano composition augmented with industrial atmospherics. In the words of the composers:
“Imagine a thunderstorm over the mountains near the sea, a stream of piano sounds flowing into the wilderness of nature from a house on the mountain slope, a lonely soul expressing the amazement caused by the mighty forces of Nature.
The Piano Concerto, by Buben and Nasta Labada, is a combination of the old piano improvisation along with industrial sounds, noises, and elements of field recordings. Altogether, they create a volumetric picture surrounding you and taking you away to a different world where your mind opens and senses sharpen.

A27 is young man from nowhere, with blurred face and puddle head. Belongs to Analogsite Crew (analogsite.com) lives in symbiosis with ŻYWA (zywa.calisia.pl). Except music he also works on graphics and photography. Incredibly fascinated with birds and snowflakes. Among music inspirations he mentions Sebastian Buczek, Bartek Kujawski, Maciek Szymczuk, Hailo, Meres & HD, Atom Heart and Aphex Twin.
He samples all of his environment. This is why you can find in these tracks some sounds of fridge and belly recorded by his friend, transformed by computer samples from porn movies and Squarepusher and sounds of old electronic games.

EP from Pangea on the Electronic Musik label.
Pangea works with harsh sounds giving it a floating and hypnotic sense. The collaborative nature of spanish composer Juan Antonio Nieto has taken him into different journeys. What happens when the continental drift process suffers inversion? The union of intangible terrains is becoming more clear each second. At this point, we know that language is truly unstable and absolutely turbulent. We would like to be in control and arrest this flux of events that surround us.
Pangea is based in Madrid, Spain.
A massive continent of sound once united when structures were inexistent. Pangea reminds you of those times before each of the component continents were separated into their current configuration… If you allow it, these forms are capable to join disperse theories and hypothesis in the depths of your mind.»- Sebastian Alvarez ( taken from the Pangea Myspace www.myspace.com/juanantonionieto )

Jason Mullinax aka Pilesar is a talented manipulator of loops and sounds and anything electronic or percussive. On Nine Strings+ Pilesar, he is joined by bassists Daniel Barbiero (How does one play a pizza?) and Gary Rouzer on NS bass cello and found objects. The duo is also known by the name Nine Strings, hence the title. The results is a quietly tense collection of eight tracks that can be categorized post-classical or avant garde. They are also very meditative tracks as the two bassists supply the droneful lines in a live session which are deftly manipulated by Pilesar creating a beautifully eerie soundscape. This is one of those albums best played alone and in a quiet room.
The album is available in 256kbps MP3.

Quiet Orchestra is a Los Angeles collective of local musicians. The twenty-plus musicians come from all genres of music including rock, jazz and world. The music tends to be improvisational yet strangely cerebral. While the ensemble has some very innovative artists in its ranks, its best known member is guitarist Nels Cline. There is an hour and a half of challenging and beautiful music on this self-titled on-line collection with three of the tracks being over twenty minutes. There are also brief solo excursions by several of the members including Nels Cline, keyboardist Aaron Arntz, bass player Gabe Noel, drummer Barbara Gruska, and tabla player Zach Harmon. Odd but angelic music from The City of Angels.
You can get the album in an album zip from the orchestra’s web site or in separate tracks at FWMU’s Free Music Archive
