Mit einer doppelten Albumtaufe, einem Luzerner Soundclash der Extraklasse, beginnt das Jahr am Südpol: Die alten Haudegen und Spaghetti Western-Fans von “Dub Spencer” sind wieder mit vier Fäusten für für ein Halleluja und einem neuen Release auf Hamburgs legendärem “Echo Beach” Label unterwegs. Am ersten Freitag des der 10er Jahre treffen sich zum brüderlichen Kräftemessen mit ihren Freunden von Tratosphere, mit denen sie nicht nur den Schlagzeuger teilen… diese machen Live Goa Sound im Bandformat – klingt komisch, ist aber so.

Monströser Dub, mächtige Echoschleifen und psychedlischer Chill Out Sounds aus dem Orbit sind an einem Abend zu erwarten, bei dem sicherlich auch das Tanzvergnügen nicht zu kurz kommt.

A flipping Budjunky – Rebirth (2009)

A Flipping Budjunky is a dub & dubstep producer in Meerbusch, Germany. He is producing electronic music since the 80th. He got infected with the smiley acid virus, and he was fazinated of these electronic sounds since he was a child.

After budjunky stopped listening and producing electronic music for a few years, listening and producing punk and metal instead, he got back to his roots in the 90th with the technoboom. At the beginning it was only techno and acid he was producing but then more and more music influences are coming into his music and he created his very own style, he kept and worked on until now.

At the end of 2008 he made the first conacts with the dubstep scene in Düsseldorf and NRW because some of them are good old friends of Budjunky. That caused Budjunky to concentrate on such kind of music. He decided to put his next 2 Cds online for free download and set all of the old tracks free.

The Album begins with a bittersweet taste of dub-based longing, and it goes through a cold, melancholic idm-flavoured phase with broken textures and misty soundscapes that are on the verge of  breaking into darker areas of hurt, anger and frustration in the depths of dubstep.

[AH036] Aeron – Aeron EP (2009)

Aeron’s self titled EP is a serene exploration through sound shadowed by a slightly mysterious aura. Ambient and cinematic the EP seem to makes an interesting exploration of personal and external myth.

Wyn Evans of the UK brings us this mysterious and concise self-titled EP. Taking a minimalist approach Aeron builds an ambient atmosphere of layered synths that kindle a peaceful energy. Punctuated by punchy kicks the EP resonates with poetic tones that thread myths through its sonic verses.

Wyn says they are inspired from the natural beauty of the Aeron valley which he quotes the poet Dylan Thomas describing as ‘the most precious place in the world’. The songs seek to capture serenity, changing seasons, and the passing of time. Beneath the surface there is reflection, hopes and fears, but its the beauty which prevails.

Currently, he works on a ambient/electronica live with Louise Bronx.
