A bit of a legend when it comes to UK electronica, Keith Tenniswood – the man otherwise known as Radioactive Man – is no slouch. Dozens of 12”s, remixes, albums and compilations (including a memorable early effort for the fabric series) have cemented his place as one of our best loved electronic experimentalists over the years, and anyone who’s seen him DJ will attest to quality of his mind-boggling “proper” electro, acid flavours, techno workouts and downright unclassifiable sonic weapons. We saw him play at Heaven once at a Glade Festival party, and after jacking our bodies like crazy for an hour, we left thinking “what the hell was that exactly?”

QLHEAD, music just exploded my mind and senses within, as soon as I started to listen, to this hypnotic, mesmerising-ly, perfect album. My subconscious and conscious mind took on a psychedelic awesome trip, due to this sound-scape of deep, throbbing, drumnbass, electronic, techno, ambient, industrial music.
For example. track 1, was lasted 8.01seconds and do you know, I never was bored or feed up with this track. Time just seemed to fly past, as I listened, and the music, vibrated inside my heart and soul, but most of all the pleasure my ears and spirit felt was awesome..
This guy has exceptional talents and skills, to make music, that is both, dramatic, haunting, has great bass lines, and tempos in them all. Let alone have off that magical hypnotic, compelling music, that you need and want more and more of it. And at other times, the serene and pure beauty this guy gives and you feel as truly spectacular.. Like in Undercurrent 2009 you feel both, power, passion, love, and also, ambient, graceful, heartfelt beauty…I could go on, telling you what I think.. But I believe to check out this, is to truly experience a perfect album and feel feelings I felt and so much more to this….

Second compilation from Mixgalaxy Records. This time authors have been given a task to create full music composition strictly 2 minutes and 22 seconds long, while being completely free in genre choice. This means, once again, that this album is followed by wide variety of moods and music styles. Besides musicians represented on the first release, several new names are introduced here. And yes total number of tracks is 22. Enjoy!
Soundamerica is an open window over the latinamerican music scene, from contemporary electronics beats to ancient magical roots.
A wide musical selection of soundamerican artists selected with love and respect by Hipi Duki Muzik and presented by Generation Bass.
Rho is childhood friends Steve Setzepfandt and Josh Wittman. No-Source worked with Rho to curate the October Turncoat EP. October Turncoat sets out of show off Rho’s more acoustic side. Each track contains washes of guitar complimented with subtle ambient texture.
The EP often evokes the sounds of early Bibio or “The Campfire Headphase” era Boards of Canada.
Three songs, Simpl, JW2 and The Game of Flowers are all taken from Rho’s 2008 debut, “Breathing Through the Liquid System”. The songs, Long Drive Home and Lightning Strikes and LEDs are taken from Rho’s most recent album “Glass Memories”. The EP contains one previously unreleased track, And More Rain, a 5 minute journey of backwards guitars, subtle picking, drums and end of a season.
Net control is the latest concept album by artist Monopole (a.k.a. Richard Sudney). The whole idea of this album was taken from the natural occurrence of electromagnetic wave propagating through the ether. Like the waves being generated on the waters surface from a stone being thrown into it; this album takes these wave disturbances and mimics it over 6 tracks.
Farben is one of the many monikers used by Germany’s Jan Jelinek. Characterized by deep basslines and using cuts from early jazz and rock recordings, Farben expertly combines a funky style with clicky, glitchy beats. This set documents his first appearance at MUTEK, in a densely-packed night that included other min imal heavyweights such as Losoul, Ben Nevile, Luomo and Ricardo Villalobos.
PierrotheMoon was first discovered on Electrobel.fr (an electronic music community). Then, he has been inviting by the team “FAST Collective” to play his first live (always available in the “Sous Tes Reins” archives). Thereafter, his talent as a composer was allowed to guest appearances on various compilations, including “TSS001″ & “Different Artists Different Ideas” (The Studio Stereo), “The Box” (Peppermill Records), “Anatomy Of Break” & “Some Robots Like It Hot” (Electrobel NetLabel). Currently, he works on a ambient/electronica live with Louise Bronx.
This album is his first full-lenght release, so let you embark in his very own style!
This is the brand new “live electronics” album by Plasman! and 51beats is very happy to follow the artistic journey of such an intriguing artist. “Futuro anteriore” is a mixture of real synthesis, loud and subtle sounds. The album starts with a technodance pill: “Broken portraits”.
Synthesizers in “Anche” are pumped like a hell. Minimal pause with “Zyprexa”, which drives us to the the impressive start of “Kurk” and the technish “Terrore a Milano”. After the 8bit-minimal-stile of “Bolle Bolle” then it comes our favourite hypnotic “Futuro Anteriore”, which closes the web version of this powerful album.
An extended album version (10 .wav-TRACKS!!) will be available at the 51beats parties. More details soon on www.51beats.net…

Weisemann hinted something was brewing with his recent ‘Xine Zero’ 12″ – alongside his usual crystalline, modernist take on house, he presented three offerings that moved leftfield. Now, the German producer uses his debut album ‘Xine’ – a collection of 20 excerpts that reflect “an imagined journey through all aspects of life’ – to further explore this area. The result is quite beautiful – a modern classical-meets-electronic beat tape that will surprise and delight. The limited edition book version of the release is long-gone, but the equally nifty digipack release is out now. We asked Sven to put together some records that inspired ‘Xine’, and this is what he came up with…

I said I was gonna do this in January 09 but I got sidetracked. Quite a bit.

Reviewer:Floating Spirits – – November 9, 2009 Subject: One of The Best!
I have to say, if you haven’t downloaded anything from SECTION 27 download this now. This has got to be one of the best compliations off of all the netlabels there are. Spanning over clicks n pops, streaming ambient synth rythmns, creepy percs, and right moment pounding kick & bass lines. What more could you ask for? A free download just cause. Well they took care of that too. So what have you got to lose but some hard drive space!
5/5***** for my boys from SECTION 27
thanx & keep those artists coming!
It seems as though our very own Mikael Fyrek has a story to tell – at least, according to the track names from this, his latest ep.
With ‘I step into the advent’, Mikael has perfected the ambient/instrumental genre once again – conveying huge amounts of feeling and emotion in every track. Each being an epic in its own right, the usual excellent use of sounds and production are apparent from the start. All the track in the ep are a continuation of the previous, to create one big picture in your mind.
An audio treat for all Mikael Fyrek fans, and definately one to add to the extensive Fyrek back catalogue that we have here on Kahvi Collective. Cover artwork by skjoldbroder.dk

This is our tenth release, a kind of a small anniversary one and a cause for rejoicing. 5 artists, 10 tracks. All of the techno is different here, and every track has a character. Here we go:
First two are from Naj, who was born in Kazakhstan but now lives in Germany. Classic, dancefloor friendly techno of “Ex-p” and an offbeat explosion of “Black Dress”. Hit hard, never miss! Second pair comes from Rostov’s Rubetz who brings sci-fi elements in “Resistance…” and a robotic trickery of “Razor”. Check it, think it! Then we got 2 pieces from Vadz – serious pulsations of “Mechanoid” and simple but flammable beats of a “Crusher”. Handle with care! Postapoclalyps Pop brings another two. “Electro stuff” is a tasty electro cut for a set start, recorded live, and a “Teely” is a bass-moving funky piece of cake. Play it loud! In the end we got a pair from Sub, our man from Surgut. Siberian coldness is heard in every beat of “Biolight”, the vocals hypnotise you with “White sky, black dots…” mantra, and the “Alien” makes you dream of ethereal lifeforms. Don’t be scared!
Netlabel celebrates it’s “2 years online” holiday with this release. Think of us when you drink vodka next time. Enjoy proper Russian Techno style!
