I have to say, if you haven’t downloaded anything from SECTION 27 download this now. This has got to be one of the best compliations off of all the netlabels there are. Spanning over clicks n pops, streaming ambient synth rythmns, creepy percs, and right moment pounding kick & bass lines. What more could you ask for? A free download just cause. Well they took care of that too. So what have you got to lose but some hard drive space!

Some people might find the artist’s name Erdbeerschnitzel (Strawberry Schnitzel) a little strange and they might be right, but what’s in a name? “Vorsprung durch Hektik” is his first release on PNR, four artistically arranged tracks that show how versatile the spectrum of a fried strawberry can be. Laid-back minimal meets sophisticated hip hop. The “Vertikalgetuem” and the “Honigkuchenhengst” (Gingerbread Stallion) get on their way with “Gottes Pferd” (God’s Horse) and “Teufels Reitpfad” (the Devil’s Riding Path), to gain more advantage through their hecticness. So follow them and buy this release, because it might soon be too late and they leave you behind. Wouldn’t that be too bad?

Electronica Podcast — Episode 5: River’n'Sea

One lived many years near the White River, the other one near the Black Sea — that is the main factor why their project was named River’n’Sea. Sasha Khizhnyakov and Dima Yakovlev met each other on one of the hottest parties «Freak Me» in 2008, in Irkutsk city. Sasha led one radio-show on the local station at that time and produced network releases of his own label Electronica. Dima, on the other side, performed a lot in the clubs with his dj sets .And you probably could meet them in front of the turntables at night club Zima Project. After one party of Electronica Labelnight 1.0, guys took a decision to give a name to their duet and the next dj set they played under the name of «River’n’Sea».

In summer of 2009, along with the performances, guys devoted their time to creating collective tracks. After three months, their first works received a support from Franco Bianco, Tiefschwartz, Pheek, Matt Star, Alex Danilov, Adam Port, Luca Ricci. After that, they signed some papers with such labels as Darek (Switzerland), Cimelde (Romania), Aenaria (Italy).
