Luca Bacchetti is definitely a force to be rockoned with in today’s house and techno scene. His background of soul, hip hop and even drum & bass has given him the right foundation to become one of the future international stars of Dance music.

Luca cut his teeth in the scene with a Radio show on club Culture, which gave him the initial notoriety and deserved push to start playing clubs in and around Italy. he later found a niche for himself playing and producing quality funked-up house and techno alongside his friend and radio show partner Antonio Pocai, which helped him getting noticed even further.

The thing that differentiate Luca’s work from the myriads of other producers out there is a strong identity in his music. His productions have the right amount of funk with a sprinkle of darkness and an essentially great groove which makes its tracks irresistible on the dance floor. Since 2005 he has produced several successful 12’s on Tenax Recordings, the label run by Alex Neri.

His real rise to fame came in 2006 with a stellar re-work of Bini & Martini - Stop, which was number 1 in the Beatport download charts for two weeks and was charted by many top Djs around the world.

Lucien Nicolet (aka Lucien-N-Luciano) first started operating as a DJ and promoter in the early nineties, promoting Santiago de Chile events Sense Club and Encuentros con la Technocultura whilst also rubbing shoulders with the likes of Uwe Schmidt (aka Atom Heart / Senor Coconut) and Ricardo Villalobos.

Nicolet began producing his own tracks as Lucien-N-Luciano in 1997, and has since then released a string of 12”s on labels including Transmat, Klang Elektronik and Bruchstuecke that have showcased his deep fusion of haunting electro elements and complex polyrhythmic beat patterns drawing equally from his mixed Swiss and Chilean heritage. To this day, Nicolet also continues to collaborate with Villalobos as Sense Club and also with Pier Bucci and Argenix Brito as Monne Automne.

So, I finally wanted to try a new mix in a genre I havent done before. Looking through the large repository of electronic genres (and there are alot) I noticed one specific genre that I always enjoyed listening to when I needed an energy rush: Breakbeat. Breakbeat has its own special unique rhythm. The mixmash of beats, hi-hats, drum loops, and bass sequences offer a difference sound than Trance. After searching for the sounds I wanted, I finally concluded 12 tracks into a seamless mix for your enjoyable pleasure.

BreakBox delivers on so many levels. Whether you’re a trance listener, a prog listener, or a clubber, I’ve got this mix appealing to everyone. The first portion of this mix is essential club/electro breakbeat stuff. Great loops, great bass, and some great vocals that can get any floor hopping. Towards the end of the mix, you’ll start to hear a more trance/progressive mood as I take it down a notch and let your mind take a break. You’ll definitely want to pick up this mix, its worth a listen.
